ABOUT
At Heavy Elements Fine Jewelry, I believe in creating unique and sustainable jewelry that tells a story. Each design is carefully crafted using recycled precious metals and ethical gemstones, ensuring that our impact on the environment is minimal. I also love working with diamond alternatives. My pieces are produced in small batches or made-to-order, ensuring that each piece is truly one-of-a-kind. In addition to my collections, I offer one-of-a-kind custom work. I'm a skilled craftsman who can restore family heirlooms or recreate your favorite pieces. I also specialize in hand engraving, adding a personal touch to each piece. Thank you for choosing Heavy Elements Fine Jewelry. I look forward to creating something special for you.

ALLAN'S STORY
My jewelry story starts with the COVID-19 pandemic. I was laid off from work due to the virus... At this point in my life, I had six (6) or so years of Computer Aided Drafting (CAD), Computer Aided Manufacturing (CAM), and 3D CAD experience, and wanted to see what I could do with that. I looked into possible careers and to my surprise jewelry design using CAD was an option. I watched a few YouTube videos on casting jewelry with 3D-printed models, which really piqued my interest.
That is when I saw the thumbnail for Bobby White (famous Designer/Goldsmith) making grenade pendant with a secret compartment. It was all handcrafted out of Platinum and gold covered with hand-cut, handset pave diamonds (if memory serves). He started with nothing and ended up with something totally amazing. From that point, I was captivated by the talent, skill, craftsmanship, and artistic abilities required to be like him.

Since then, I have studied at some of the best schools I could afford. I have studied Basic Jewelry Repair, Basic Stone Setting at Drouhard's, Stone Setting Comprehensive at New Approach School. I then went to Drouhard's to learn Advanced Stone Setting, followed by Jewelry Casting and Production.

After my first three (3) classes, mentioned above, I landed an Apprenticeship with a Master Goldsmith. I have been working under him for over two (2) years now and I really have him to thank for a lot of my knowledge and abilities. His scrutiny and quality control inspections done under high-powered magnification keep me humble. Through him, I have learned so much about jewelry repair, restoration, stone setting, etc. Thanks Kirk! <3

While studying jewelry, I fell in love with Hand Engraving. Hand Engraving can be used to create beautiful artwork on anything, specifically metals. You can engrave initials or special phrases on sentimental items. Also, you can create some of the most spectacular Stone Setting work with a graver. I taught myself all I could for 2-years but I have recently made the transition from "self-taught" to "professionally trained" by seeking training from the world-famous Christian DeCamillis.
